Green tea extract - Catechins
Green tea extract provides Catechins, sile (low) Caffeine, theanine, etc... EGCG – abundant catechin in tea – is a polyphenols under research for its potential to affect human health and disease.- Antioxidant : The health benefits of green tea extract are mostly due to its high antioxidant content. Polyphenol antioxidants called catechins comprise the majority of green tea extract’s antioxidant content. Among the catechins in green tea, epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) is the most researched and thought to provide the most health benefits.
- Heart : The antioxidants in green tea extract can decrease inflammation and help reduce blood pressure. They can also inhibit fat absorption in cells, helping reduce blood fat levels
- Brain : The antioxidants have been also shown to protect brain cells from oxidative stress. The green tea extract group showed an increase in brain function and improved task performance, compared to the placebo group
- Weight : Both catechins and caffeine could enhance thermogenesis, process by which the body burns calories to digest food and produce heat.
- Detox : The catechins in green tea extract may also help reduce inflammation caused by some liver diseases like non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD)
35% Epigallocatechin Gallate, 80% Polyphenols, mainly Catechins. Beside antioxidant, antibacterial/germicidal effects. Protection of the skin from aging and damage due to exposure to UV
Green tea - Source of polyphenols, antioxidants, and more...
Green tea is a type of tea that is made from Camellia sinensis leaves (sometimes buds) that have not undergone the same withering and oxidation process used to make oolong teas and black teas (black tea is oxidized and green tea is not - in black tea, leaves turn dark brown and allow the flavors to heighten and intensify).
Green tea is a source of caffeine / theine, amino acid (incm. theanine), polyphenols especially catechins : catechins are types of flavanols, which are types of flavonoids, which are types of polyphenols. The main catechins are catechin, epicatechin, epigallocatechin (EGC), epicatechin gallate (ECG), and epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG).
