Berberine HCL Granules

Berberine HCl - The active extracted from Berberis

The extract provides 97% Berberine HCl by HPLC, produced by crystallization. The principle of crystallization is a rather clean process, since a precise molecule is crystallized by playing on its specific crystallization parameters, then by filtering to keep only the crystals. Thus, this process always gives high titers, which is why we are here at a 97% extract (and not a substance, obtained by purification).
Analyzes have shown the presence of only berberine in the family of isoquinolic alkaloids.
The recommanded dose is 50 mg three times a day (oral).

This extracts is specifically granulated for an easier use, and to avoid pulverulence.

Berberine - Berberine : metabolic syndrome, blood sugar regulation, antimicrobial, mouth wash

Berberine is a golden yellow alkaloid present in the roots and also in stems from Berberis aristata or more commonly known as barberry. It has been traditionally used for over 2,500 years in Asian medicines, for its immune-stimulating, antifungal, antibacterial properties (for example in mouthwash, or in case of ocular infections, or used to dress indolent ulcers and in preparations for stomach problems) and its ability to effectively calm intestinal disorders and in particular diarrhea of bacterial origin, intestinal parasites, fungal infections - Candida albicans, yeasts - and possibly resistant strains of Staphylococcus aureus.
Berberis is a plant that helps balance blood sugar levels as well as blood lipids (cholesterol) levels : it significantly improved systolic and diastolic blood pressure, fasting blood sugar, and blood lipids in people with type 2 diabetes.
It shows also an anti-inflammatory effect (action on pro-inflammatory cytokines).
For a decade, researchers have shown growing interest in it for its spectacular effects on metabolic (type 2 diabetes, pre-diabetic states) and cardiovascular diseases (esp. anti cholesterolemic activities), which are constantly increasing in occidental societies, and for its crucial role in activating a key metabolic enzyme: AMPK.
Usual forms are Berberine HCl or – less common – sulfate.
