Sesamin Complex - Anti-inflammatory, cardioprotective nd antioxidant
Sesamin Complex is a standardized extract from the seeds of Sesamum indicum (sesame) containing sesamin and sesamolin :- Antioxidant effects offering protection against oxidative stress and enhancing vitamin E activity : Preclinical studies have revealed that sesamin and sesamolin are effective antioxidant compounds and In laboratory studies, sesamin was found to enhance plasma levels of vitamin E by inhibiting the catabolism of tocopherols. Sesamin and alpha-tocopherol were found to synergistically suppress lipid peroxidation in rats fed a high docosahexanoic acid diet.
- Cardioprotective effects : Through alteration of hepatic metabolism, sesamin is reported to lower serum cholesterol levels in animal models. Sesamin was found to offer protection against deoxycorticosterone acetate-salt-induced hypertension and cardiovascular hypertrophy in rats, suggesting cardioprotective effects
- Support healthy blood lipid levels : Sesamolin was found to inhibit lipid peroxidation in rat liver and kidney. Lipid peroxidation activity measured in serum as 2-thiobarbituric acid and measured in urine as 8-hydroxy 2’-deoxyguanosine levels in rats fed a diet containing 1% sesamolin were lower than those for untreated controls, supporting their hypothesis that sesame lignans reduce susceptibility to oxidative stress
Sabinsa - A pioneer and leader of plant extracts
Sabinsa - founded in 1988 by Dr. Muhammed Majeed - manufactures and markets phytonutrients and standardized herbal extracts, specialty and fine chemicals, and organic intermediates used in the nutritional, cosmetics, pharmaceutical, intermediary chemicals and food industries.
Sabinsa confirms everyday its position of leader on botanical extract, and at the origin of so many objectivized products (BioPerine from Black Pepper, Garcinia Cambodgia, SeMeth, Coleus Forslean, etc...).
Sabinsa has a research and development facility in India and near Princeton, NJ and six manufacturing facilities in and around Bangalore, India, and in Utah.
