Horse Chestnut 20% (Venocin)

Venocin® / Venocin® CG - Horse chestnut: Blood circulation, strenghten capillaries and veins

Venocin® is a standardized extract prepared from the horse chestnut seeds (Aesculus hippocastanum L.). The extract is standardized to contain at least 20% escin (nutraceutical) and 90% escin (cosmetic GC). Escin is a blend of saponins known to help maintain a healthy circulatory system by strengthening capillaries and veins.
Venocin® is recommended for supporting blood circulation (patients suffering from venous varicosis, hemorrhoids, etc.), strengthening capillaries and veins. Clinical studies have shown the action of escin in the initial stages of edema (cellulitis of the thighs or chest), others have validated the anti-inflammatory effect. Ingrédient without excipient.
Recommended dose: 300 mg of extract twice a day.
Venocin® CG is spcecifically designated for Cosmetical. L'Escin (or aescin) inhibits certain enzymes such as hyaluronidase or collagenase (but also beta-glucoronidase or elastase), hence the use for the texture and appearance of the skin.

Horschestnut - Saponin, and mainly aescin

Horse chestnut (Aesculus hippocastanum L.), native to Asia and northern Greece, is now cultivated in many parts of Europe and North America.
The seed extract has traditionally been used for joint pain, bladder and gastrointestinal issues, fever, and leg cramps. It is mainly used as a food supplement for chronic venous insufficiency, varicose veins, hemorrhoids and phlebitis in Europe.
Horse chestnut seeds are rich in saponins (3–5%) of which thirty molecules are isolated and characterized. The main biologically active component is escin, a mixture of acylated triterpene glycosides composed of crypto-, α- and β-escin. The two main glycosides in the escin mixture contain protoescigenin aglycone, glucuronic acid, and two glucose molecules.
The anti-edema, anti-exudative and vasoprotective actions are mainly due to escin. Orally and topically administered proanthocyanidin A2 is reported to have healing actions.
