Griffonia Extract 5 HTP 20%
5-Hydroxytryptophan - Griffonia 5HTP
The Griffonia simplicifolia seeds extract contains L-5-HTP, or 5-HTP, a precursor of the neurotransmitter serotonin, used to deal with anxiety, improve sleep, and slow down an appetite. Serotonin is associated with positive emotions, including relaxation and happiness, appetite suppression, weight loss, fibromyalgia, as well as to treat motion sickness. L-tryptophan is converted to 5-HTP, which is in turn converted to serotonin. Serotonin is an important component that play a major role in sleep and appetite. Serotonin is also important for getting a good sleep. The synthesis of serotonin in the body begins with L-tryptophan, one of the essential amino acids we get through diet. This makes 5-HTP a valuable option for efficiently boosting serotonin levels in the body.
1:1 brings about 2% 5-HTP (so a 40% 5-HTP is processed with PER of ca. 20:1)
Griffonia - Main source de 5-HTP
Griffonia simplicifolia (or Bandeiraea simpl. or Schotia simpl.) is a plant from which is extracted a precursor of serotonine (hydroxylation of tryptophane). Griffonia is mainly used for the extraction of 5-HTP from the seeds (although a new β-carboline alkaloid, known as “griffonine” was isolated from Griffonia recently). There is a potential value of employing Griffonia seed extracts in mood disorders, and so many other fields.
