Cinnamon - Regulate the level of sugar in the blood with Cinnamon
Cinnamon Cassia (or Chinese Cinnamon) is used in traditional Chinese medicine, where it is considered one of the 50 fundamental herbs. Cinnamon is source of Polyphenols and Proanthocyanidins.
Cinannonum cassia or Chinese cinnamon, used to regulate the level of sugar in the blood (in particular by avoiding sugar peaks, which can thus also affect satiety), with also an action on the lowering of LDL cholesterol (Diabetes Care, A Khan et al., December 2003). In addition to this action, Cassia extract is also indicated for concerns about gas, stomach spasms (preventing nausea and vomiting), diarrhea, infections (by cinnamaldehydes), colds and loss of 'appetite.
