Oxyresveratrol - Antioxidant and skin lightening
Oxyresveratrol is a stilbenoid. It is found in the heartwood of Artocarpus lakoocha and in the traditional drug 'Puag-Haad' made from it, or from synthesis - Superoxide and DPPH scavenging, tyrosinase inhibition. UV-B, Anti-fungal.
Oxyresveratrol is a analog of Resveratrol ; it exhibits skin lightening potential by inhibiting tyrosinase and melanogenesis. It also has antioxidant properties that may also lend to the inhibition of melanin biosynthesis from ROS scavenging. This product also has anti-inflammatory properties.
Oxyresveratrol can be used in concentrations of 0.1% to 0.5% in anti-aging and skin lightening creams and lotions.
Artonox is extracted by Sabinsa from the dried heartwood of Artocarpus lakoocha and standardized for Oxyresveratrol 95%.

Artocarpus lacucha, also known as monkey fruit or Monkey Jack, is a tropical evergreen tree.
The stilbenoid oxyresveratrol can be isolated from the heartwood, the light brown powder obtained from the aqueous extract of the wood chips of A. lakoocha by boiling, then slow evaporation, followed by cooling. This traditional drug is effective against the intestinal fluke Haplorchis taichui or against taeniasis, as antioxidant, and for skin whitening / lightening.
