Tulsi - Holy Basil
Also called “Holy Basil”, Tulsi (Ocimum sanctum) has a long list of properties. is a holy plant revered by the Indians since ages. It has been shown in several scientific investigations to have significant antioxidant, antimicrobial and anti-stress activity. It is a traditionally recognized immune support and a calming herb. Tulsi Extract significantly helped to increase the levels of glutathione - the intracellular antioxidant. Tulsi also exhibited significant wound healing properties- It acts on immunity and metabolic functions, promotes better management of respiratory problems.
- Effective in lowering high blood sugar. Tulsi has the ability to inhibit both the cyclooxygenase and lipoxygenase (anti-inflammatory) pathways.
