Livinol, LivLonga - Bioactive with hepatoprotective properties
The Garcinia indica is the most common garcinia species found in different regions of India. The dried outer rind of its fruits are popularly known as "kokum". In Ayurveda, it is viewed as a wonder berry having a myriad health benefits, but particularily with a long history of supporting the liver.
Sabinsa's patent-pending Livinol™ is a powdered extract obtained from the fruit rind of Garcinia indica and standardized for minimum 20% garcinol – a compound known for its antioxidant, antimicrobial, chelating and free radical scavenging activities.
LivLonga® is a unique blend of three scientifically validated natural ingredients including Curcumin C3 Complex®, Livinol™ and the bioavailability enhancer BioPerine® to support healthy liver function :

LivLonga® was evaluated for liver health support. Liver is the largest and critical organ in the human body, which supports metabolism, immunity, digestion, detoxification, and vitamin storage. Alcohol, Non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) and viral hepatitis are the most common causes of liver damage. NASH is considered as the hepatic manifestation of metabolic disorder and is closely associated with type 2 diabetes, insulin resistance, and obesity. NASH is a significant burden to the public health system, with no approved drugs for treatment.
Garcinia indica - as one of the consitutant of Livlonga - is not presently listed in the EU list of plant and plant preparation.
