Nektium : committed to a sustainable future
Our partner Nektium has just published its sustainability report, highlighting its initiatives and commitments in terms of environmental and social responsibility.
2023 was a decisive turning point. The efforts made since 2020 have already produced the first notable achievements, including obtaining ISO 14001 certification for their Environmental Management System, drawing up their Code of Ethics, and getting a biotrade permit in compliance with the Nagoya Protocol. At the same time, the company initiated the B-Corp assessment process, the only global standard that measures and evaluates social and environmental performance.
Nektium reaffirms its fundamental mission: to improve people's health and well-being, while preserving biodiversity. Driven by strong values such as commitment, responsibility and trust, their sustainable development strategy is based on 3 pillars:
- Economic sustainability: strengthening partnerships, adding value to ingredients, constant innovation, assessing the risks and benefits of sustainable development;
- Environmental sustainability: use of 100% renewable energy, reducing carbon footprint, transparency, quality and traceability of products;
- Social sustainability: employees well-being, inclusion and fairness, awareness of ethics and fair trade, respect and support for local communities, quality of products and services for customers.
Aware of the climate urgency, Nektium's ambition is to play an active role in the emergence of a new, more equitable, regenrative and inclusive economic model for everyone and the planet.
